Smadar Rahav

I was born in 1952.
Most of my childhood and youth were spent in Upper Nazareth.
I served full military service in Sinai.
I am a fifth generation Sabrit in Israel on my mother's side, in a family that was one of the founders of Petah Tikva.
I am a mother of three daughters and a grandmother of 4 grandchildren.
As a child and later as a teenager, I loved fiddling with my notebooks during lessons. I never thought I would become a real painter, although I always had this thought in my head.
It happened to me much later.
About 10 years ago I decided to start trying to draw, and since then I haven't stopped.
I paint in the studio with a teacher, from whom I draw inspiration, explanation and meaning for every brush movement.
I enjoy painting in both oil and acrylic.
I find in quiet and calm painting, immense satisfaction and perfect pleasure.
