Born in Israel, Dorit spent her early years in Nigeria, Turkey and Israel, and completed her high school education in San Francisco. Being exposed to many different cultures at such a young age had a major influence on her outlook on life and instilled in her a keen eye for detail, both visually and conceptually. Dorit’s career was in graphic design, which included her own studio in Jerusalem, as well as an interactive apps company for children, BeBright ltd. Throughout her life she studied art in multiple art courses and workshops, both in Israel and abroad, experimenting with many mediums. Today, Dorit paints in oil colors and creates collages. Using the technique of collage she emphasizes similarities, studies differences, layering where there are questions, simplifying for clarity.
In the summer of 2021, Dorit’s oil painting, Artichoke with Yolk, was displayed at the 5th London Art Biennale. She received the prestigious award of exhibiting her art in the summer of 2022, at the Chianciano Biennale, Italy.
